Exhibition and Wine tasting

Valais Wine Tours in collaboration with the Opale Foundation in Lens, offer you an evening of discovery of works and emblematic wines of the region.

On the programme: a guided tour of the exhibition by cultural mediator Marie Berceron, followed by a tasting of 5 wines (ounces) with commentary on the history of the vine and wine in Valais.

Reserve your seats for this multi-sensory activity, and if you wish to continue the tasting, remember to reserve a table at the Opale restaurant!

Activity Programme

A walk through the vineyards to discover the nature and history of the vine and wine in the Valais, followed by a tasting of emblematic wines and a visit to the Bagnoud Vin vinery.

Discover the nature of the surrounding hillsides and the captivating history of the vine and winegrowers in Valais through a guided tour of the vineyard.

The walk will be followed by a tasting of emblematic wines and a visit to the Bagnoud Vins cellar.

During the walk, tasting of a glass of wine from the backpack.

Guided tour of the built heritage of the village of Lens and excursion to the statue of Christ the King

Guided tour of the built heritage of the village of Lens which inspired the writer Ramuz, excursion to the statue of Christ the King

- Explanations on the different functions of the old Valaisan buildings and  the life of the inhabitants of the region.

- Excursion via the Way of the Cross to the imposing statue of Christ the King. 

  At the top of the hill, the 360° view is breathtaking

- Visit of the Grand Lens Museum

- Drinks offered in front of the museum.

Excursion to discover the Bisse du Rho.

Built in the 15th century as an irrigation canal for the region, it bears witness to the incredible courage of the builders of the time. Today, the Bisse du Rho has been adapted to the needs of tourists,  

 It has been made safe and equipped with a new suspended footbridge. 

Lens, visit of the built heritage, excursion on the vertiginous Bisse du Grand Lens and organic wine tasting.

Visit of the built heritage of Lens, excursion on the Bisse du Grand Lens erected in the 15th century. Guided walk on the history of the Bisses, vineyards and wine in Valais as well as observation of the surrounding nature
