Walk in the vineyard of Flanthey, Lens, tasting of the Cornalin grape variety.

Flanthey/Lens

Departure from the village of Lens which inspired the writer Ramuz, guided tour of the village's heritage. 

Transfer to the wine village of Flanthey, walk in the vineyard with an observation of the surrounding nature followed by explanations on the history of the vine and wine in Valais.

Tasting of typical wines of the region at a vinery and visit of the cellar with explanations on the work of wine making.

Visit of the castle of Vaas which houses the museum of Cornalin, the emblematic grape variety of the region...

Salquenen/Miège

From Crans-Montana or around to the village of Miège/Muraz.

Departure for the wine trail, walk in the vineyard with a view of the surrounding nature, study of the landscape and the work in the vineyard, explanations on the history of the vine and the wine in Valais. (approx. 1.5 hours of easy walking)

Arrival in the German-speaking village of Salquenen/Salgesch

Visit of the magnificent Valaisan vine and wine museum.

Wine tasting at a local winery.

Return by train to Sierre or on foot, via a loop to the village of Miège.

Excursion from Leuk to Miege along the wine trail. Visit to Visperterminen and wine tasting with Heida cepage.
Walk along the Bisse de Clavau, and wine tasting

Bisse de Clavau

From Crans-Montana or around to the village of Champlan above Sion.

Departure for the Bisse de Clavau, with a magnificent walk through the terraced vineyards, whose dry stone walls are sometimes more than 20m high.

Explanation of the surrounding nature, the landscape and the work in the vineyard, approach to the History of Man, Vine and Wine in Valais.

Tasting of typical wines of the region in a wine hut with an explanation of the wines and grape varieties.

Visits, excursions and tastings are possible from a few hours to several days. Groups of up to 4 people can travel in a private hybrid vehicle, while larger groups can travel by public transport, private bus or coach.

Meals can be provided in certain wineries or restaurants, and picnics or catering can be arranged for larger groups on request.
